Digital Twins to monitor and verify transition towards regenerative agriculture practices

Scaling science-based machine learning platforms to monitor, report and verify transitions towards Regenerative Agriculture practices.

To avoid the worst impacts of accelerating climate change the global economy across all sectors and industries needs to urgently decarbonize and at same time sequester carbon with environmental integrity.

Addressing the global decarbonization challenge

Food supply chains are responsible for 33% global GHG emissions

While feeding the world’s population of almost 8bn people is a fundamental task, it comes at a heavy cost to the climate. Food production uses up half of the Earth’s habitable land and a Nature Food paper estimates that Agriculture & Food Supply Chains are responsible for about 33% of global emissions.

Poor environmental integrity of nature-based offsets

There is a significant trust deficit related to use of nature-based solution offsets (using biomass plantations, native forests, pasture lands, agriculture, etc) due in large part that there is no independent science-based MRV that measures risk associated to quality and environmental integrity of these.

Food supply chain risk-adjusted MRV Intelligence requires a systems-level approach that considers end to end supply chain from farm to fork to ensure quality and integrity.
